Collection: Transgender Pride
A Transgender person is someone who was born with a gender identity which does not align with their biological sex.
The Transgender Pride Flag was designed in 1999 by a trans woman, Monica Helms, herself a Navy veteran. The light blue stripes symbolize the traditional modern colors for males, and the pink stripes symbolize the traditional modern colors for females, with the white stripe in the middle symbolizing those in Transition, or Intersex individuals, or those with nontraditional relationships with Gender. Because the flag can be displayed in any direction due to its symmetry, the Transgender Pride flag is never out of alignment.
